I have always had a heart for building connections, bridges, and relationships with others.
From an early age, I always wanted to hear people's stories and find ways that I could connect and relate to them. I attribute this to the total 6 years I grew up overseas. These years were very formative for me and shaped me to be the person I am today; someone who wants to understand people on a deeper level.
Returning to the States in 2022 and beginning a job in the world of customer service, I started to see how everyone has a story to tell, and we are all just waiting for someone to listen to us. This gave me a comfortability to reach out to others and express myself, even if it was across a coffee bar.
Starting in my Junior year of high school, I began to be mentored by a Communications Director, as I was shown how best to create and present work. I learned a lot of professional skills from this mentorship, but also a lot of personal skills and traits important to have in the world of Communication. In my Senior year of high school, I was able to hold 3 jobs at a time, all of which were growing me in my interpersonal skills, my love for connecting with others, and job-ready skills in Communication. I would not be at the point I am today if it wasn't for those opportunities.
Now, I am at the brink of a very exciting part of my life. I am in college, getting a degree in Communication, to continue doing what I love: seeing people for who they truly are. I want to connect with others. I want to be there for others. I want to be my most honest and best self, and I cannot wait to see how this will come to fruition as I continue on this journey of life. Please join with me.
